Senior Companion Program
Senior Companions are defined as healthy older adults who help other adults live independently. Senior Companions provide support to caregivers in various ways. They can assist with socialization, daily tasks to maintain independence, reading and writing letters and other small tasks.
Senior Companions receive ongoing training, an annual physical examination, supplemental insurance, help with meal and transportation costs, a small stipend for those who qualify and the joy of helping others live on their own.
For more information on Senior Companions, or if you think you are interested in becoming a Senior Companion you can contact your local Outreach Coordinator Kerry at 701-252-2882 or Andrea Lang, Senior Companion Coordinator for Lutheran Social Service at 701-271-3247.
